I am a very nervous patient and was extremely worried about my upcoming surgery. Mr Benson was calm, considerate, patient and took time to explain everything that would happen during the pre-op, surgery and post-op process. Even though this was a challenging procedure due to the condition of my eye, I left Mr Benson’s care with little pain, no bruised or bloodshot eye. He visited me a number of times post-surgery and before leaving the hospital to make sure I was comfortable and happy with how I felt. My eyesight is precious because I have effective vision in only one eye. Mr Benson saw me three times before he carried out my cataract procedure to reassure me and to ensure he knew ‘my case’ thoroughly. He talked to me on the day of the procedure and before I left the hospital afterwards. A great result! I no longer  need to wear glasses after doing so for 60 years. . Mr Benson has checked my condition a couple of times since the procedure. Very highly recommended, and all carried out as an NHS patient.

From my first meeting with Mr Benson it was explained to me clearly everything that was do be done regarding the operation.
